    Understanding pipeline stages and opportunities

To effectively track your sales and revenue, you need to understand the three core components of the CastaLink CRM: Pipelines, Stages, and Opportunities.

    What is a Pipeline?

A Pipeline is a visual representation of your sales process from start to finish. You can have multiple pipelines for different aspects of your business (e.g., a "New Lead Sales Pipeline" and a "Customer Onboarding Pipeline").

    What are Stages?

Stages are the individual columns or steps within a pipeline. A typical sales pipeline might have stages like:

    • New Lead
    • Contacted
    • Appointment Booked
    • Proposal Sent
    • Closed Won / Closed Lost

    What is an Opportunity?

An Opportunity is a specific contact or deal that is moving through your pipeline. It represents a potential sale. An opportunity card contains the contact's name, the value of the deal, and their current status.

Pro Tip: You can drag and drop Opportunity cards from one stage to another manually, or use Workflows to move them automatically (e.g., when they reply to an email, move them to the "Contacted" stage).

How to create a new Pipeline

To customize your sales process, navigate to Settings > Pipelines. Click Create New Pipeline. Give it a name, and then add and reorder your stages to match your exact business workflow. Once saved, you can view your new board in the Opportunities tab.
